Le Rocher des Violettes (Xavier Weisskopf), VdF Chenin Blanc, 2020
Xavier Weisskopf's Rocher de Violettes is located in Montlouis-sur-Loire, an appellation that was perhaps overshadowed by Vouvray, its more famous neighbor but has recently come into its own right as source of extraordinary Chenin Blanc. This is a beautiful, classic Chenin, with notes of ripe orchard fruit, dry honey and white flowers. Bone dry and refreshing, it's an ideal match for poultry or seafood, or simply enjoying on its own.

Domaine de la Furonniere, Muscadet Sevre-et-Maine, 2020
This is a great value and drinks at a higher level than it costs. Extremely food friendly, it boasts of very forward limestone, bright citrus and nectarine flavors. The acid levels help cut through any fatty food quite nicely but they are not extreme. The longer you let it sit in the glass, the rounder it becomes. This may age quite nicely. I will be buying again in the future.
Flawed online shop. Paid for this wine online. I had to go pick up. Furious NO WINE IN STOCK as I paid for!!!! I had called and confirmed night before. Manager wrote and promised to make things right after refund. I’ve NOT heard back from Manager. We will Never buy from this Wine store again. Beware ordering online. Items may not be in stock. Very fee 100% Nebbiolo rose being made today. This one stands out as a really great wine!!!! Pure joy to drink it. From the color to the finish. A really fine Barbaresco that will stay with you in your memory for a long time. Cheers
I love the elegance of this entrance level wine from Le Petite Saint Vicent. Yes, his Les Poyeaux is one of Saumur’s top wines but this affordable wine is a proper introduction to the great things happening in Saumur Champigny today.
